Madelynn is now in the 5th grade and super smart! When we first moved she had to do every activity, basketball, volleyball, running, orchestra, soccer, girl scouts, band! I think she's going to stick with running when she starts middle school next August. *faint* Yes! I said middle school! She is really excited because she gets to be in the advanced reading class next year. I'm so proud of that girl! She's been very into zombies lately! So, if there is a zombie apocalypse I think she'll keep me and Ava safe!
Ava is now in the 3rd grade. She didn't do as many activities as her sister, but she did do running and soccer. She enjoyed both. She went to a british soccer camp in New Mexico last summer while visiting her dad. She doesn't seem to be into soccer anymore though. She'd like to play hockey, but it's very expensive! Single mom can't afford it! She is a little comedian and makes me laugh all the time. She also blows me a kiss every morning when I drop her off at school. I hope she never outgrows that.
I think both of the girls are doing very well here. I really like the school they go to and they seem to have a lot of friends!
As for me, I mostly enjoy my job. The hours are good for being home with the girls. I finally got rid of my piece of junk Tahoe and bought a 2007 Honda Accord in February! I love it!! Except when it snows. Speaking of snow, I am so tired of it! The girls were gone all summer, so I dated a little. Most of the guys I met I wasn't really interested in! I'm being picky! In December I did meet a special someone. He is super sweet and treats me really well, so we'll see where that goes! He has 5, yes 5 kids! They are awesome and I think they like me, so that is good! He does live 106 miles away, so we have a long distance thing going, but sometimes I think that's a good thing, so I don't rush into anything! I don't want to make the same mistakes I did last time!
Here's to hoping I update again before it's been 2 years!
