Ava's dance recital, finally!

This post was causing problems, so I deleted it for now.

Ahhh, summer vacation!

Yesterday was the last day of school, so of course that means it was my last day of work. It's nice to not have to worry about going in for 3 months!

Yesterday afternoon I mowed the lawn and weeded the yard for most of the day and part of the night. The girls and their friends worked on cleaning up the back yard. Today I got all of the laundry done AND put away! I also planted some flowers and cleaned bedrooms, the living room, and the kitchen. I did most of this with 3 extra kids here, as I told the girls they could have a sleepover for the last day of school. Travis was also in Houston. He should be home in about a half hour! We are excited for him to be home. I hope that he isn't working as much as he was before he left. I think I am more motivated to do it now, because I know I don't have to go into work.

I haven't wrote much about my diet. I was diagnosed with diabetes in February, so I was put on a pill and I am following the diabetic diet. I have lost 54 pounds since February 15th (which is Madelynn's birthday!). All of my pants are falling off! It's nice when people notice. It's been hard work, but it feels good to keep seeing the weight come off. I go back to the doctor Monday for my 3 month checkup.

Ava had her big dance recital on the 17th, so I have a lot of pictures to load from that. I will get around to it soon. I have video too, but last time I tried to load a video on here it never finished, so I don't know what the deal is with that. Looking forward to seeing most of my family this summer in June! Coral and Dylan are going to come spend a few weeks with us. That will be a good time.

Ava's Kindergarten Program

Oops, it's been awhile!

Madelynn had her first communion in April and my mom, Clark, and Chelsea came for it. They also went camping with us for Easter and we took them to Moab to see Arches. It was pretty cool. It was quite the stressful trip for them with renting the RV and all.

I have been busy working and running the girls to and from all of their activities and Travis has been working non-stop due to a "thermal event" at the mine he works at. He goes to Houston on Monday for a week, so hopefully he gets some rest there. We've been camping 4 times now since Easter. We love camping! It's so relaxing most of the time. The girls and I went alone for Mother's Day because Travis was at work. Ava's big dance recital is on Monday and the last day of school is Thursday. We are all so excited to have the summer off. We are going to South Dakota on June 9th for my friend's wedding and Coral and Dylan are going to spend some time with us this summer. We are taking them camping for a week in Wyoming. I hope they have fun!
