Cruefest pictures!

So, I didn't really write about our trip. We left here about 11:30 on Tuesday. I don't recall what time we got to Salt Lake, but my friend Traci was already there eating lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. We couldn't find it and got stuck in traffic because of road construction! We did eventually find it and ate. Then we went the wrong way to the hotel. We found the hotel, which was right up the street from Ruby Tuesday's. We went to check in and they only had 2 of our 3 room reservations! On top of that we had reserved rooms with 2 double beds and the hotel we were at didn't have any rooms with 2 beds! All of the rooms just had a single queen. It was very frusterating. They ended up giving Traci an extra room for free and a coupon for another room free on a different night. We finally got in our rooms and this guy next door to Kim and Jared started complaining about the noise. When I went upstairs to see Traci, I realized Kim and Jared were right next to him and Traci was right above him. Just great for her when she was going to have 7 kids in the room!! The extra room they'd given her wasn't clean enough. I don't think she got in there for a couple of hours! I felt really bad about that!! We rushed out the door to go to the concert and had to wait in a long line of people. It didn't really take too long to get in the door though. Kim and I got to go in faster because they had a separate line for women, with a woman doing the searches. They searched our whole bodies to make sure we didn't have anything we were supposed to!!

Anyway, here are the pictures. Thanks, Kim for sharing with me!

Cruefest videos

Kim took some videos at Cruefest.
This is Trapt. They were good. I really don't know their music, except for the Headstrong one. They kept saying a lot, thanks for coming early to see us. I thought it was kind of funny. They played for a half hour.

Trapt, Headstrong

Sixx A.M. Life is Beautiful. Sixx A.M. was pretty good too. I didn't really know any of their songs except Life is Beautiful. I love that song!! Nikki Sixx had his son, Decker, come out and play during one of the songs. He said it was his first time on stage. It was pretty cool to see that!

Sixx A.M. Pray for Me

ooops, more Life is Beautiful!

Papa Roach, I don't know any of their songs, but they were awesome with the crowd!

I think this one is called Forever.

Buckcherry!!!!! I love them! I knew most of the songs they played, so I had the most fun when they were on. They were NASTY during Crazy Bitch. They were a lot of fun though!

And last, Motley Crue! Their show was awesome!

New Camper!!

We got back from Cruefest today and Travis went and got our new camper today!! I am so excited. I can't wait to go camping again. Here are some pictures of it. I will post about Cruefest later when Kim emails me her pictures. I couldn't take my camera in, they said no "professional" cameras. I figured with mine they wouldn't let it fly. Darn!!! Next year I am getting a cheap one to take. lol. I am positive Kim's pictures turned out great thought. It was SOOOO much fun!!

Pioneer Day Parade.

Ava had to dance today after the Pioneer Day Parade in the next town over. The kids had a lot of fun. They got a TON of candy! Then Ava danced and we let them go on a train ride. Travis actually made it to the dance. I couldn't believe it! He thinks he's done with all this late working for now. Hopefully!!!! I am sick of it! Anyway, here are some pictures.

Fireworks

July 24th in Utah is known as Pioneer Day, I guess. This is when the Mormons first settled in Utah. Everyone does fireworks again. The girls and I went with Kim and her kids to their old neighbors to watch! It was fun. I, of course, took a bunch of pictures! :)

Here are a few, I will get a slide show up soon.

Very annoyed!

Travis is on long wall move at work, he knew he was going to be working a lot, but this is getting ridiculous! Tuesday night he got home at 2:30 am!! After leaving home at 4:30 am. Kim and Jared came to hang out with me til 11 and 45 minutes after they left someone rang the door bell, so I was freaking out and they came back over and stayed with me until Travis got home. (THANK YOU!) Last night he got home at like 12:45. He told me he'd be home at 5 today, and it's now 7:20 and guess what? No Travis. He hasn't seen his kids since MONDAY! I am starting to despise his boss. I can't wait till Tuesday, I KNOW he has that day off. Or I should hope I do, if they try to make him work I will be furious, as that's the day of Cruefest.

Cascade Springs

The girls and I took a ride today with our friends Kim, Jared, and Aden. We saw Bridal Veil Falls and Cascade Springs. It was so pretty up there! On the way home we saw 3 deer and a coyote! We drove by Sundance, where the Sundance Film Festival is held. There were some gigantic houses up there!

We are getting a new camper!! On Friday we should get it! We are so excited! I will post some pictures when we get it. Other than that not a lot has been going on! We're going to Cruefest in 8 days!!

Thanks California!

Thanks to the fires in California it's really hazy here. It makes me sad that we can barely see the mountains, but the sunsets have been gorgeous! We went up a mountain for me to get some pictures. There was some weird stuff out where we were! Only 2 weeks left of his long wall move, I cannot wait!

(wonder how OLD this tv is!)
This is a pull out couch! ha ha!

Games!

I taught the girls how to play Uno last night. A keeps winning! Figures, she's the youngest. ha ha! M is really getting into it, especially when she played with Daddy! She thought it was hilarious when she skipped me or made me draw more cards! They got bored of that, so we decided to play Operation. That wasn't a good idea. M is scared of the buzzing noise!! Crazy. They had a busy day today, with not too much tv watching. I am glad. I was thinking they've been spending too much time just sitting around.

We're supposed to be going to look at a couple of campers, but the guy hasn't been home. Will keep everyone updated on that.

The Pool

I took the girls to the pool today. I went to the one in the next town over, because it's apparently more kid friendly. I didn't like taking them to the wave pool here, as I thought it was a little much for my fearless four year old. She likes to go in the deep end without help. We got to the pool, I got sunscreen on them, and said, ok you can go in, I will be there in a minute. Got my shirt off and sunscreen on the upper half of my body when I see the fearless four year old going under the water, her sister no where to be seen. The lifeguard jumped in and helped her out, while I dropped my pants and ran in to try to get her too. I swear, I am never going to the pool again, at least not until we get a lifejacket for that crazy kid!

Longwall moves. . .

Anyone who has a family member in the coal mine business knows about longwall moves. Hubby started one today and I already feel like we aren't seeing much of him. Only 3 more weeks to go (this is with no days off at all!). Yuck! I only wish I'd planned ahead and saved some money to go visit the family while he on the move. One day down, 20 to go!

Our latest adventure.

So, we bought a camper in March, because most of our friends around here love to go. We have went a handful of times so far. This last time was pretty interesting! It was our first time in the mountains. We drove up there with no problems. Hubby stopped to get an envelope to pay and handed it to me to fill out.

Here's where we stopped.
Our Tahoe fit under this just fine. The camper, not so much. I started filling out the envelope, hubby started driving forward and then we hear a BOOM! We both turned around and looked out the window and saw this:
Pulled around to our friends and hubby got a lot of crap about this. lol. When we got out we saw how bad it really was!

It did end up being a pretty nice trip. I got a lot of nice pictures of the waterfalls from the snow melt and the kids had fun. I was so paranoid a bear was going to come eat us, that I had a hard time relaxing. The drive home was the most fun. Every single person who drove by us was staring at the camper. We could have been giving them the finger or something and they would not have even noticed!

Fixing the camper has been an issue of irritation between hubby and I. He wants to trade with our neighbors uncle for an older one without a fridge. What he doesn't realize is that the fridges for these things are like $1,000 and that's how much we paid for the darn camper!!

Have a busy day planned today for the 4th. We're going to a BBQ at hubby's old bosses house and the girls and I are going over to a friend's to watch the fireworks, since hubby has to be up for work at 5 and will be going to bed early. :( His new hours suck!

Hi!

Some of my friends have blogs, so I thought this might be a good way to update everyone, since I am always emailing pictures to everyone and not writing about what was going on! lol! Hopefully, I will keep it updated!
