Fall pictures, take 2!

Kim and I drove up Huntington Canyon on Saturday to try to get some more pictures. It was beautiful up there! The pictures do not do it justice. The mountains just looked like they were glowing from all the orange and yellow leaves. There wasn't a lot of red, which is my favorite!

Fall pictures!

Kim and I went to take a few fall pictures of the kids today. Here are a few of my favorites. More to come, maybe! We might go out again Sunday.

Fun fun!

We took the kids to Kiwanis Day at the park. It was a zoo. The girls were set on climbing this rock wall.

Here they are all ready to go!

Did they make it?

Here's Madelynn giving it a try.

This is all the farther she made it. I think she got a little bit scared.

Now it's Ava's turn.

Where do I go?

Getting a little help.

She didn't make it too far either. The guy said her legs were too short. lol. I was surprised they wanted to try it at all! I was proud of them.

Aughhhhhhhhhh!

I don't know how single parents do it! I have been home with the kids alone for just over 24 hours and I am going nuts! They won't stop fighting, whining, crying, you name it, they are doing it! I don't know how Travis handled the weekend I was gone. Granted, he didn't have to do all the running around that I have to do with it being a school week, but jeez! These two are being a handful! I hope this cold goes away quick, so I can deal with them better.

A madhouse of kids!

My friend from Wyoming, Traci, came to visit on Friday night, for the weekend. She brought her 4 kids. Her kids are close in age to my friend Kim's kids, so they came over Friday night and we played some cards and some pool. The kids were having a lot of fun with the Wii. I don't know if her kids had ever played it before.

Here is Brayden driving!

Baby Camron! He is such a happy little guy!

Madelynn playing the Wii.

Dawson and Brayden!

Saturday morning we were up early and ready to go. Ava had a short dance recital at an LDS church. She was being a goof, but she did ok, for doing a dance she learned last year! The kids thought the stuff they were doing at the church was neat, but I felt a little weird being in there! After that we went to some garage sales. Traci was looking for some clothes for her kids, as she brought them all pants and it was hotter than we expected! We took the kids to the park to play and then we came home to get ready for a barbeque with Kim and Jared and their kids. It was a madhouse here last night with all 9 kids! I think Travis was ready for some peace and quiet! I had a good visit with Traci though. I don't talk to her as much as I used to and when we lived in Wyoming we were seeing each other every day!

We have a busy week coming up, so I probably won't post anything! I hope everyone has a good week!

Sick already!

This is my least favorite part of school! Just 2 weeks after Madelynn started Ava got a cold and has had it ever since. Madelynn started getting it Monday and Travis on Tuesday I think. Now I'm getting it. It's not good, I think my CPAP makes my throat hurt worse when I am sick!

Sunday Drives

After church today we decided to go for a drive because I was in the mood to take some pictures. We took Kim, Jared, and Aden along. My girls were fighting and yelling at each other most of the way, so we stopped and let them play in the lake. They thought that was really fun! We had a nice time. I took a lot of pictures. Let me know what you think!

My trip!

This last weekend was my trip to South Dakota! Thursday when Travis got home I went and dropped the girls off with Kim and Jared. They didn't even seem to care that I was leaving! I was glad for that, so the K & J wouldn't have a hard time with them, but it made me a little sad. I was sad about leaving them for so long, as I hadn't been away from them that long before. I headed back home and Travis was ready to go. He decided he wanted me to drive, so he could nap. I got about half way over the mountains and pulled over and let him drive. It was windy and I don't like driving in the mountains! I figured I better let him drive, or we wouldn't get there until midnight! We got to the hotel, which was VERY NICE, about 7:30. We stayed at the Residence Inn Airport. The rooms look just like the pictures on the website, which never seems to happen! We got checked right in and decided to find a place for dinner. We ended up at Chili's. It was good! There was so much that looked good on the menu that we had a hard time deciding. We got a kick out of the sign in the parking lot. Back at the hotel we went in the hot tub and the pool for a few minutes, and then kicked back and watched a movie. We watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall. It was pretty funny! I slept like crap, because I was anxious about flying.

Friday, we got to the airport at 8. They don't have a person checking you in at Delta in Salt Lake anymore. Just machines. That was a little bit weird. Travis walked me up to security and I got through just fine with my CPAP. I was a little worried that this might be a pain, but it was easy. The flight was fine. It was a little bumpy with the landing, but much better than some flights I have taken in the past. My mom picked me up and we went to watch Chelsea get her senior pictures done. I can't believe how many they take nowadays! We went out to lunch at a restaurant I worked at during high school, the Colonial House. It was fun to see some of the waitresses I used to work with. Back to picture taking with Chelsea after that! They really took a ton, I don't know how she will ever pick. I went back to mom's and Chelsea and her friend and I played some games. We went to dinner at the Alpine Inn. It was so good! We had to wait for an hour though, and we didn't even get there until 8!

Saturday I spent the morning with the parents and Chelsea and then spent the afternoon with my Grandma. She was feisty as usual. I went and visited my Aunt and Uncle in the early evening. Then I went to my friend Erin's house to hang out with some friends. She made dinner for us and we had some drinks and played some games. I spent the night there. It was a lot of fun!

Sunday morning I went to church with my mom and Chelsea and the family came over for a BBQ for dinner. We had fun shooting flies and trying out Chelsea's slingshot and Clark's pellet gun. I learned how to aim much better! We watched a movie, but I was so tired I felt like I kept falling asleep.

Chelsea drove me to the airport Monday morning and was making fun of me for being so nervous about it. The pilot and flight attendant had said the flight was bumpy from the weather, but I didn't think it was bad at all! Maybe I am getting better at flying. I was shocked to see snow on the mountain tops in Salt Lake City when we got back! Travis wanted to go out to lunch and I figured that he deserved it after being such a good guy and dealing with the kids alone all weekend. We went to Joe's Crab Shack and the girls tried crab for the first time. Madelynn actually ordered it for her dinner!

I had a hard time chosing, as they only had like 2 items on the menu that were not seafood and I don't like seafood! We drove home and got here around 6. Puddin' was so excited to see me and the girls couldn't wait to see what surprises I had in my bag for them!

Please excuse the crappy pictures! I didn't bring my camera, these are from my cell phone!

Ava's First Day of Preschool!

This morning was Ava's first day of preschool! Last night at bedtime she was crying that she didn't want to go to school. She did the same this morning, so I was a little bit worried about how she would be. We got Madelynn dropped off at school and headed over to Ava's school and she did great! A friend of hers from dance is in her class, so I think that helped out. She didn't even care when we left!
